| MAINTAINING INSTRUMENTS
A student's instrument should be maintained in good condition
at all times. Inherent in learning something new will be a certain
amount of frustration. An improperly working, or out of tune instrument
will only add to these frustrations, and handicap the student.
- Pianos should be tuned at least once a year and placed in
an area of the home, which is conductive to productive study and
practice.
- Guitars should have strings replaced at least every three
months to produce accurate pitch and good tone. The fretboard
of the guitar should be cleaned and polished at this time.
- Band Instruments should have all keys working freely. Wipe
both the inside and the outside after each practice.
If you need a piano tuner, Starland can recommend reliable tuners.
Guitar students may bring their guitar in for tuning by their instructor
or by our Product Consultants. Polish clothes, strings, maintenance
kits, and other accessories are available at Starland during store
hours.
