Eli Cassard
Growing up in a musical family, Eli developed a passion for music at an early age. He started this journey with some guitar lessons from his father, a recording artist formerly signed to Capitol Records. By the end of fifth grade, Eli had written, recorded, and produced his first full-length instrumental album, Solid Setting.
As his interests expanded, Eli mastered drums and bass and began performing with numerous bands throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. These experiences eventually led him into digital music production, which has become a centerpiece of his career.
After graduating from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, in 2017, Eli founded LoveHaight Studios in Alameda, where he produces and records music for artists across a wide range of genres. His music has accumulated millions of online streams, and have been featured on Spotify, Apple Music, radio broadcasts, and music publications.
Whether performing, producing, or teaching, Eli is passionate about helping others connect through music. He is dedicated to inspiring musicians of all ages and experience levels, sharing the creativity, discipline, and joy that music has brought to his own life.
1.Alive or dead: What musician would you do anything to see perform/meet?
The musician I would do anything to meet would be George Martin, the Beatles producer. George’s production technique is extremely unique, and I was always amazed by the way he would incorporate atonal ambience and sound effects into popular music.
2. Greatest musical influence?
Drums: The Rev, Carter Beauford, Loniel Robinson, and John Bonham
Bass: Marcus Miller, Flea, and Paul McCartney
Producers: Rick Rubin, Garth Richardson, Bob Ezrin, George Martin, and Timbaland.
3. Any hidden talents besides music?
Yes, I was an avid baseball player and I also know how to surf!
4. What did you want to be while you were growing up?
Ever since I was little I wanted to be a musician!
5. If you could have any Super Power, which one would it be?
If I could have any super power I would want to be able to fly, it would be so convenient!
6. If you could master any other instrument which would it be?
Piano!
7. Have you had what people would consider your 15 Minutes of Fame, and if so when/what was that?
Yes! I have produced songs that have received millions of views on YouTube and other
platforms.
8. It’s your last meal: What would it be?
Definitely Mediterranean food!
9. You’re sent to a deserted island, and you only have one album to listen to: Which is it?
Tough question! If I was sent to a deserted island I would choose Collide with the Sky
by Pierce the Veil.
10. If you could leave one lesson with all of Starland’s students what would it be?
It would be to continue to play music and create music regardless of what life may throw at you. Making music has become a therapeutic process for me, and I am so thankful for all the positivity it has provided.
