Nishad (Nish) George

Nish is a Bay Area native. He is currently the guitarist, producer, and songwriter in progressive metal band, The Offering. He is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he was classically trained in guitar. Throughout his years at Berklee, Nishad deviated from classical and metal music, and also played in punk and pop projects.

Nish began playing rock music at a young age and has studied under Metal guitarist Joe Stump of HolyHell. Steve Vai and Alexi Laiho are some of his biggest influences. He is currently working again as a producer and guitarist on the next album with his band, and of course, teaching too!

Any hidden talents besides music?
Tennis!

What did you want to be while you were growing up?
Playing music, so that’s going well so far!

If you could have any ‘Super Power’, which one would it be?
Time travel

If you could master any other instrument which would it be?
Drums for sure

Have you had what people would consider your “15 Minutes of Fame”, and if so when/what was that?
I Opened at the Wacken Open Air festival in Germany in 2019!

It’s your last meal: What would it be?
Pizza, but it has to be from New York!

You’re sent to a deserted island, and you only have one album to listen to: Which is it?
Avenged Sevenfold’s “Nightmare”/em>

If you could leave one lesson with your students what would it be?
After you learn how to play, play to learn more about yourself.
